Saining Bundle

Juniper has been used in Scotland to cleanse homes for hundreds of years in a ritual known as Saining. It was thrown into the fireplace and the smoke was used as a way to clear out the house of illness and other negative energies. This bundle which mixes it with Rosemary harkens back to that very old tradition. Together they are sure to cleanse any space you desire.

All the information about the herbs is on the inside of the wrapper making it a great gift.

Details: Each of these bundles are approximately 6-7” long and 1 1/2-2” diameter. Please allow for some variation due to the fact that these are all hand made. These are wrapped using jute twine so that when the rope burns it won't have a chemical smell. The colors of the bundles may be different than the ones in the images due to varying degrees of freshness and how dry the bundles may be. Some of them may come slightly fresh and you may have to hang them and wait a bit before they are dry enough to burn. (I promise they’ll smell really good while you’re waiting.)

Disclaimer: If you decide that you do want to burn the herb bundle make sure that you never leave it smoldering alone in a room and that you make sure that you’re burning it on a inflammable surface. (Not sure if that’s the right way to put it, but you know what I mean.) I burn mine on a cute little ceramic tea plate with pretty flowers on it.

Also, do not ingest or smoke any of the ingredients in these herb bundles they are meant to either be burned or enjoyed for their beauty. (A friend of mine hung her’s in her car because she doesn’t burn incense, etc.)
