Sweet Dreams Bundle

$15.00

I have really bad nightmares, like the type that you really, really don’t want to have. That in and of itself probably explains why I have a couple different types of Herb Bundles that are designed to get rid of nightmares and to help you get to sleep. When I’m really stressed out and anxious because of various situations in my life I get what I call racing brain. It’s different than insomnia in that it doesn’t keep me from falling asleep and instead wakes me up at 2am with a brain that fixates on whatever the cause of the stress is. This particular herb bundle has become a staple in my night time routine. I light a candle because that’s generally my preferred why to light herb bundles. I love that it adds a dimension of fire to my rituals and that I can control the amount of smoke. I tend to use beeswax tapers in those cool candleholders with a dish below them. The dish helps catch the wax as well as any ash or herbal debris from the herb bundle. I’ll light the bundle and then walk around my bed three times and this very basic ritual along with lavender lotion and a nice cup of tea has helped me to sleep better at night.

Cedar-To help protect one from nightmares and cleanse the bedroom and oneself in preparation for sleep.

Chamomile-To calm and sooth the mind helping one to fall asleep more quickly.

Lavender-Soothing and sleep inducing. It has sweet subtle protective qualities.

Mugwort-Helps one to lucid dream.

Penny Royal-Keeps your secrets while you sleep.

Valerian-Helps you to fall asleep and to stay there.

Details: Each of these bundles are approximately 6-7” long and 1 1/2-2” diameter. Please allow for some variation due to the fact that these are all hand made. Each one is wrapped using jute twine so that when the rope burns it does not have any chemicals in it.

Disclaimer: If you decide that you do want to burn the herb bundle make sure that you never leave it smoldering alone in a room and that you make sure that you’re burning it on a inflammable surface. (Not sure if that’s the right way to put it, but you know what I mean.) I burn mine on a cute little ceramic tea plate with pretty flowers on it.

All statements above are based on magical knowledge and do not stand in for medical knowledge. (I’m definitely not a doctor and instead am just an artist, and though I really hate this word, a maker.

Also, do not ingest or smoke any of the ingredients in these herb bundles they are meant to either be burned or enjoyed for their beauty. (A friend of mine hung hers in her car because she doesn’t burn incense, etc.)
